Actor-turned-politician Rajasekhar and his wife actress Jeevitha, who threw YS Jaganmohan YSR Reddy's Congress Party on Friday, stating that they do not want to be associated with a damaged person, likely to join the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
Sources in the TDP said on Sunday that the couple spoke to the party President N. Chandrababu Naidu, now fighting in byelections Kadapa by telephone in the morning and expressed their willingness to join his party. Naidu told that they appreciated the decision.
Couple joins TDP formally on Tuesday in the presence of Naidu,when he returns to the capital. But the party is yet to decidewhether their "services" will be used to target both byelections Kadapa YS Jaganmohan Reddy and K. Chiranjeevi, the report said.
