Income Tax Department today conducted searches in theresidences and offices of several personalities of Telugu, includingNagarjuna here.
According to a senior official, the Department conducted researchwing of the search.
Film industry sources said the action was informed after thedepartment learned about the large number of land transactionsinvolving film personalities in Visakhapatnam, the second largestcity in the state after Hyderabad.
"The searches were conducted in offices and other premises, other filmpersonalities, including actors Ravi Teja, Anushka, as well as theAnnapurna Studio owned by the family of
Mr Nagarjuna's family"sources told PTI.
Results were also conducted at the residence of Shiva Prasad Reddy, who made several films with Nagarjuna.
The IT department seized several documents during the operation,sources added.
