Sachin Tendulakr is named Wisden cricketer of the year 2010



Indian batting master Sachin Tendulkar was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year 2010, crowning the golden months for"Master Blaster ", which also saw him play a major role in the World Cup triumph in India.

 Tendulkar is in the Bible means India won the cricket award three consecutive years after back-to-back awards for Virender Sehwag in each of the two previous years.

It follows another prolific scoring during the year for the 37-year-old,who shook up over 1500 trials, including seven hundreds ofstudies, including a record 50th overall, in 2010.

Tendulkar is on the verge of hitting 100 international century, now at 99 He also became the first player to hit a double century in one day international, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

"Wisden acknowledges its greatness, calling him as a Leading Cricketer in the world in 2010," quoted in Wisden Tendulkar read.

Tendulkar batting also saw him gain a place in the 2010 Wisden'sTest XI, along with Sehwag and Bangladesh Tamim Iqbal
