Telugu bilingual version of the upcoming Mani Ratnam's ace, shall be made in Tamil and Telugu with Tamil film based on the popularnovel "Ponniyin Selvan" was reportedly Veerudu Fri.
The creators have kept the novel name as the title in the Tamilversion. The film, produced by Kalanidhi Maran of Sun Picturesbanner, stars Vijay, Arya and Anushka in the lead.
Vijay will play a brave warrior Vallavarayan Vandiyatheyan andMahesh Babu will play the king Aditha Karikalan. Arya will ArulmozhiVarman in the film, which Anushka as the younger sister of MaheshBabu and Vijay's love interest. Ilaiyaraaja is scoring the music. The film is now in pre-production stages
