Introduction:Sathya Sai Baba (born around 1926 to 1929 under the name Sathya Narayana Raju) is a popular but controversial Indian guru who has followers and Sathya Sai Baba groups in many countries. When I was a teenager he claimed to be the reincarnation of the fakir Shirdi Sai Baba, and then took the name of the fakir. He says he is an avatar (incarnation) of Shiva and Shakti and the embodiment of love with divine powers such as omniscience and omnipotence.
In his ashram, he is said to manifest vibhuti (holy ash) and small objects such as rings and watches daily. He claims to materialize these objects out of nothing. These claims are considered to show his followers. Moreover, advocates, and even a few non-supporters, does not show many other miracles performed by him. Proclaims rather traditional but syncretic form of Hinduism, which is strictly moral. It teaches the unity of all major world religions and says that they all lead to God, which is in accord with the principles of Vedic validity of multiple paths. His supporters and the organization he founded that are involved in many charity projects, and collecting funds for various projects costly praising Sai Baba, including a museum in his honor.
History Sai Baba claimed that he was born in 1926 as Sathyanarayana Raju, or across the river from the village, in Andhra Pradesh, India Puttaparthi. Devotees honor his birthday as November 23, 1926.His date of birth, which is astrologically perfect, however, is disputed by official birth register as the place three years earlier.His mission began in early 1940. Publicly stated, the date, October 20, 1940, and it was a Monday, when he threw his books on the way to school. But that day actually on Sunday.
Many visitors to Puttaparthi was stimulated by the stories of miracles allegedly performed by Baba. Then he became even more popular because of the nature and integrity of those who said their own stories, in print for their return to their hometown. Many visitors also report Baba came to them in dreams before they even knew who he was. Only later, through a series of events they learned who he was. Stories such as this attracts the beginning of spiritual seekers from the West, such as the Americans, Dr. John Hislop, a famous Hollywood screenwriter Arnold Schulman, a psychiatrist, Dr. Samuel Sandweiss, as well as in Australia, Howard Murphet, which visited the guru, examined him and his teachings and activities, and then wrote books about their experiences. In turn, these books inspired other spiritual seekers to visit and examine the Sathya Sai Baba personally. As a result, many foreign dignitaries, and even famous people began to visit Sai Baba, and continues to this day.
Guru is becoming increasingly popular and at the end of 1960 the West began to visit him. Since 2004 is estimated at over one million believers, mainly among Indians and people of Indian ethnic origin. Sathya Sai Baba resides much of the time at his ashram home called Prashanthi Nilayam (the seat of peace) at Puttaparthi. On a hot summer the guru leaves for his other ashram called Brindavan in Whitefield (sometimes called Kadugodi), a town on the outskirts of Bangalore.
He is regarded by some as an excellent orator in his mother tongue Telugu and Tamil also speaks passable. He says it is Kali Yuga purna avatar (full divine incarnation of the era) of Lord Shiva and Shakti. He says he is omniscient, omnipotent, able to create matter from mere thought. He also stresses that it is free from desires. Preaches love and unity of all religions. Sai Baba says that the pure love of God.
Baba says that it is an avatar of God and the incarnation of Lord Rama, Sri Krishna and Shirdi Sai Baba. Many of his supporters say he is the primary avatar of our times. Repeatedly claimed to be the real incarnation of Vishnu, Rama, Krishna, Kabir and other famous characters from Hindu mythology.
Sai Baba has left India only once on a visit to Uganda in 1968. It was reported by two students, Dr. Patel and Dr. Gadhia, who lived there at the time that Sai Baba warned them to sell their belongings and leave the country. A few years later, Idi Amin pulled his coup and began a murderous rampage said the Asians must leave the country. Dr. Gadhia, who took into account the warning of Sai Baba, he sold all their belongings and fled to London, where he managed to start a new practice. Dr Patel lost his property but was able to escape.
Sathya Sai Baba can be seen as a person who performs miracles are said daily in the form of materialization of small objects such as jewelry such as bracelets, rings, watches, and especially vibhuti (holy ash) and kum kum. He says he can heal diseases of his devotees sometimes his spiritual power, and sometimes taking on the disease. There is anecdotal evidence that supports this request. The followers attribute to him many miracles that were witnessed in his presence in their own countries, such as spontaneous expressions of pictures vibhuti guru in their homes, bilocation appearance Sai Baba in their presence, while it is also in another place. Followers also report that has the effect of the off-season fruit several times. He says he meets these miracles to attract people, and then transform them spiritually.
It teaches more traditional but syncretic form of Hinduism, which come from various sects and movements including advaita, occasionally with other religions, like Buddhism, Sikhism and Christianity. Despite his claim to be the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba, a spiritual leader who blended Islam and Hinduism in his teachings, no rituals teaches Muslims. The only real Christian influence can be felt in the institution of regular Sunday School Sessions fans. He says he has come to restore faith in, and encourages the application of sciences in the Vedas.
One important practice in his ashrams is Darshan (spiritual sight).During darshan Sathya Sai Baba walks among his followers. Why listen to a few selected individuals, acceptance letters, or materialize and distribute vibhuti (holy ashes of Lord Shiva).Sathya Sai Baba claims that his darshan has spiritual benefits for those who participate in it. Usually people wait hours to get a good place for darshan. Sathya Sai Baba sometimes invites people to a group interview with him in peace at the ashram, "Mandir (Hindu temple). Devotees consider it a great privilege to have this interview. Sometimes a person from this group is invited to a private conversation.
Around the world, the local Sathya Sai Baba singing group meeting bhajans (Hindu religious songs), a study of Sathya Sai Baba of science or the social collective (called seva), and learn the value of education in the field (Sai Sunday School). His followers generally do not proselytize. Bhajans are sung at nearly every meeting.
Organizations He founded several educational institutions and charitable hospitals, primarily Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and Sri Sathya Institute of Higher Medicine, located within or near the main ashrams and Anantapur town.  These organizations seek to provide free education and healthcare for the population. These are private institutions and their acceptance criteria are not published, take the decisions on admissions to individual performance, as decided by Sai Baba and his leadership. Organization of Trust made large contributions of drinking water projects for the whole district, Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh and Chennai.
His Educare (formerly education in Values) program is to found schools in all countries, with the express purpose is to educate children in the five human values and spirituality. Schools have been established in Toronto, Canada, Zambia, Australia, the United States and some in India. Since these are all public. Critics of these institutions and their online figurehead often use this information to the e-mail within the citizens what they perceive as a threat. Projected College in Denmark, was detained by local residents who objected to the Sai organization as a cult, after watching the movie "Seduced by Sai Baba", as repeatedly sent to the Danish national TV.
All local Samithis Sai (Sathya Sai Baba groups) are part of a hierarchical structure called the Sathya Sai Organisation. The President of the organization is Michael Goldstein of the United States. Sathya Sai organization's logo is a stylized lotus flower with the text of the so-called five human values, a large impact not only Hinduism but also Jainism and Buddhism, in the petals. These values are Sathya (truth), dharma (right conduct), ahimsa (non-violence), prema (love) and shanti (peace). This version of the text has replaced the old logo with the symbols of 5 or 6 world religions in the petals.
Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust was founded in 1972 and deals mainly with charities, such as the Rayalaseema water project. Trust is exempt from tax and is a major beneficiary of grants from abroad, although Baba and his organization occasionally explicitly solicit donations. All donations and expenditures are supposedly for the record, which are legally documented by the bank holding amount.
Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publications Trust is the official publisher of the Sathya Sai Organisation. Publishes the international monthly magazine called Sanathana Sarathi. In various countries of similar funds to maintain the publication in their native language.

Skeptics argue that claims about Sai Baba is unproven or untrue.They say that his "miracles" are performed with a sleeve, and his admirers imagine his bilocation "revelations", an incarnation of his claims are dubious and unsubstantiated, and his teachings are not genuine, often mere platitudes, and indistinct, and that his charities are exaggerated, at the front for money laundering and other personal benefits from the coterie of top organizations that are familiar with Baba to be an impostor.
In 1993, four people who were armed with knives were killed after their invasion of Sai Baba's bedroom. Body Indian ashram murder investigative journalists in 1993 were not able to get more than a very scanty information on the accounts of the Central Trust and relationships. Drinking water projects have been claimed to be the result of Sai Baba's' God's will. " However, they have largely not exist in most villages because of falling groundwater contractor corruption, and lack of maintenance orders. Therefore, the project had to be taken over Rayalaseema by the Government of Andhra Pradesh state.
Some ex-lovers in the American Glen Meloy accuse him of cult leader who uses mind control and propaganda and who created the cult of personality. Other critics say that school records revealed several different dates of birth of a boy (under its original name Sathyanarayana Raju) and suggest that he invented the birth on Nov. 23, 1926, because on 24 November 1926, the famous Hindu mystic philosopher Sri Aurobindo said that Divine descended on Earth.
Another critic, ex-devotee and a retired scientist / professor of philosophy at the University of Oslo, the former national coordinator for the organization in Norway, Robert Priddy, stated that Sathya Sai Baba claims to show list of many basic ignorance of physics, geology, history, religion and much more.
