Barielle Fall 2009: Nails Get All Lacquered Up

For fall 2009, Shades by Barielle and celebrity manicurist Elle extended a hand to guest collaborator (and Spoiled Pretty pal) Michelle Mismas, founder of the top nail beauty blog, All Lacquered Up.

The new collection - aptly named All Lacquered Up - takes trend-making to a new level, offering unexpected color combinations, glitter particle and pearl shimmer effects, and a healthy 3-free formulation.

Black polish gets injected with a shot of colorful shimmer, with Lava Rock - a black and red pearl swirl, and Blackened Bleu - a black polish with sapphire sparkle. Blue and green polishes come in brand new hues, with Falling Star (left) - a marine blue with gold glitter particles, and Polished Princess - a safari green with copper shimmer. Drop-dead reds include Glammed Out Garnet - a ruby-on-ruby sparkle, and Pin Up - a tomato red shimmer. Grey gets glam, with Out-Grey-Geous - a silver shimmer, U-Concrete-Me - a steely gray, Slate of Affairs - a worn denim, Putt-E-On-Me - a classic clay. The ultimate coffee indulgence is Make it a Latte - a chocolate cream with golden highlights. Purple gets even prettier with Get Mauve-ing - a muted mauve.

Michelle Mismas said, "We wanted to infuse the collection with what we saw at Fashion Week: a retro tomato red lip at Tibi; the luxe browns, mauves and steel blues of Reem Acra; the recurring palettes of chic grays from designers like Badgley Mischka." Celebrity manicurist Elle added, "For this collection, we were excited to collaborate with Michelle on reinventing colors and textures to come up with something totally new for nails—this collection boasts unique twists on colors and combinations that are truly firsts for the industry."

The polishes are $8 per bottle. And, as always, Barielle has a buy 2 get 1 free promotion. For color swatches, visit All Lacquered Up.
