Gossip Girl Giveaway!!!

Bonjour, my pretties. Long time, no blog. Miss me?

After spending the holiday weekend in Seattle, I made it back to Philly just in time for the highly anticipated season premiere of Gossip Girl. The newest eppy “Summer, Kind of Wonderful” delivered the drama, picking right up where season one left off.

If you’re a fan of Gossip Girl, you understand that it’s more than just a television show. It’s a study in style…an Elle editorial personified. The series has some serious fashion cred, as evidenced by its guest appearances. Tonight’s episode featured Tinsley Mortimer (who made a cameo at the white party) and Michael Kors, who will guest in a fashion week-themed episode.

Last week’s giveaway fell through at the last minute…and I feel so awful about it that I pulled out all the stops, this time around. So this week, I’m spoiling you, Gossip Girl style...

Spotted: D hosting a giveaway at SP, in honor of the GG season two premiere!!!

Two lucky readers will each win two haute headbands, courtesy of Colette Malouf, dubbed the “undisputed queen of hair accessories” by New York Magazine.

Her name might not ring a bell, but there’s a good chance you’ve seen her work on Sex and The City, on the runways of Michael Kors and Derek Lam, and on the likes of Oprah, Halle Berry and Anne Hathaway.

The winners will channel their inner queen bees with Colette’s artistic accessories. The Grosgrain Edie Headband (top left) suits Blair, the preppy Park Avenue princess. Steal Serena’s Upper East Side style with the Linen Open Work Headband (bottom left).

Winners will also receive Gossip Girl: The Complete First Season.

Relive the wit, romance, drama, mystery and scandal of season one with this 5-disc, 18-episode set of DVDs that also features:

* Gossip Girl 411 Featurette
* GG Couture Featurette
* A Gossip Girl Wedding Featurette
* Music Videos
* Gag Reel
* FREE downloadable audiobook of Cecily von Ziegesar’s bestselling novel, narrated by Christina Ricci!

To enter, send an email to spoiledprettycontests@gmail.com. Be sure to include your full name. The subject line should read "Gossip Girl Giveaway." The contest ends at midnight (EST) on Sunday, September 7th. Two winners will be chosen at random from among the entrants. On Monday, September 8th, I'll announce the winners' names. Please, only one entry per person; duplicate entries will not increase your chances of winning. Contest is open to U.S. and Canadian residents only.

You know you love me for this one.

xoxo,

Spoiled Pretty girl

Some Like It Lukewarm

I didn’t want to comment on this...but as the day wore on, Lindsay Lohan’s pictoral in New York Magazine irked me so much that I felt compelled to post.

I can’t say that I’m surprised that LiLo got nekkid. I mean, it was inevitable that we were going to see her boobies sometime soon. But what baffles me is why legendary photographer Bert Stern chose Lohan to recreate the shots that Marilyn Monroe made famous. Makes you wonder who turned him down before Lindsay jumped at the bit.

The iconic photos of Marilyn are artistic and haunting. She was sex and beauty combined, then personified – with a touch of sadness. Lindsay’s attempt to channel Monroe’s effortless sensuality is just sad. It comes off as a cheap imitation – cubic zirconias, if you will, to Marilyn’s diamonds.

Almost Famous

I'm famous! Well, not really. Not even a little bit, to be honest. So here's what had happened...

I was perusing the New York Magazine website, and came across this video of behind-the-scenes beauty at Carmen Marc Valvo's Fall 2008 show.

Well, at the very end of the video, you can see me in the background, having a convo with Victor C from MAC - I'm the super-short one with a steno pad in my hand (I appear 1:25 into the video).

OMG! Just had to share.
