Bryant Park To Get All Dolled Up: Barbie Comes To Fashion Week

February 14th, Barbie takes Manhattan. For the first time ever, 50 designers will come together under one “Tent” for Barbie’s first-ever runway show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

Yesterday, the brand released the official line-up of 50 celebrated designers who will showcase one-of-a-kind, adult-size creations inspired by the renowned fashion doll. The epic fashion event will celebrate the past, present and future of fashion, with Barbie as the muse.

Each of the 50 models will wear Christian Louboutin pumps in iconic Barbie Pantone 219 Pink. "I guess I always had a little 'girlie side' who liked Barbie," Louboutin said. "Barbie needs to wear great shoes because every girl needs to wear great shoes."

The show is part of a year-long, global celebration of Barbie’s 50th anniversary that includes pink carpet events, marquee partnerships, retail celebrations, must-have products and numerous tributes in design, fashion and more.

Participating designers include: Alexander Wang, Anna Sui, Baby Phat, Badgley Mischka, Betsey Johnson, Bob Mackie, Calvin Klein, Carmen Marc Valvo, Catherine Malandrino, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Erin Fetherston, Kenneth Cole, Marchesa, Michael Kors, Monique Lhuillier, Naeem Khan, Rachel Roy, Reem Acra, Tibi, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, Tracy Reese, Vena Cava, Vera Wang, Vivienne Tam and Yigal Azrouel.
