Mr. Bean injured in car crash!



British comedy actor Rowan Atkinson, known for playing Mr. Bean character, suffered minor injuries after the supercar was driving crashed and caught fire, rescue services said on Friday. 

Atkinson Car Enthusiasts needed hospital on Thursday after McLaren F1 car drove separate road near the town of Haddon, east England, before hitting the tree and lamppost. 


56-year-old walked away from the accident, before firefighters arrived and put out the flame. 

"We were called to a vehicle collision on the A605 near Haddon at about 19:30 (1830 GMT) yesterday," local police spokesman said. 

"The driver of the vehicle, the man was taken to Peterborough City Hospital." 

Source police confirmed the man was involved Atkinson. 

Ambulance spokesman said the case had suffered "minor shoulder injury. 

The actor's love for fast cars is in stark contrast to his hapless characters in the Bean series, which runs an aging Mini. 

McLaren F1 is one of the fastest production cars in the world and reaches a speed of 230 miles (370 kilometers) per hour. It is worth about £ 650,000 ($ 1.05 million, 750,000 euros). 

Atkinson recently appeared in the popular British TV motoring show Top Gear, taking part in a segment called "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car." He scored the fastest time at the show, completing the circuit track in one minute, 42.2 seconds. 

Atkinson rose to fame for comedy shows, including "Black adder" and "Not the Nine O'Clock News," but achieved great international fame with the comedy slapstick of            Mr Bean. (AFP)
