Have you noticed a lotta lavender lips lately? I have. Lady Gaga kicked off the trend in February when she paired a light purple pout with an oversized hair bow. Since then, they've appeared sporadically on the Fashion Week runways. But now I can't help but notice that they're cropping up everywhere.
New Moon star Christian Serratos (who plays Angela) wore lilac lipstick to the movie's premiere. And Alicia Keys sports a lavender gloss in her new video,
Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart (photo below).

The look is like an oxygen-deprived pale pink mouth. To create a lavender lip to compliment my caramel complexion, I use the duo seen at left:
MAC Lipstick in Syrup and MAC Plushglass in Foolishly Fab (which has, foolishly, been discontinued).
To steal the look, I recommend a pale pink or lavender lipstick with a sheer lilac gloss on top. For a look that's more wearable, just a gloss will do the trick. Try:
MAC Cremesheen Glass in Ever So Rich,
MAC Lustreglass in Flashmode or Morning Glory, or
MAC Dazzleglass in Funtabulous.
