Popular South Indian actor Prabhu and musicians,said the director, lyricist, singer and Gangai Amaran had been awarded honorary doctorates at the 20th Sathyabama University convocation in Chennai on Thursday for their valuable contribution in the field of art and cinema.
S. Sundaresh, an eminent scientist, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO),has also received an honorary doctorate in recognition of his contribution in the field of technology management in the field of combatvehicles.
Speaking on the occasion, Prabhu said his father Sivaji Ganesan and former Chief Minister M.G Ramachandran enjoyed a healthy and strong friendship, and recalled the days of his relationship with Gangai Amaran when he began his film career
