Find Your New Fragrance With Scentmap
Think it’s impossible to find a new fragrance? Never dream of buying perfume as a gift? Scentmap.com is about to change your tune, Negative Nelly.
Based on your current fragrance, Scentmap will recommend new perfumes with similar notes and personality. A ‘remote control’ on the sidebar allows users to fine-tune selection criteria by choosing simple characteristics (i.e. warm or fresh, extroverted or intimate, classic or new, rare or star).
The site boasts a library of fragrances from 59 brands, though I wouldn’t go so far as to compare it to Google…the press page likens the site to “the Google of Perfumes.” For example, Scentmap doesn’t have two of my favorites on file, Philosophy Amazing Grace and Hanae Mori Butterfly.
But if I click on Prada Infusion d’Iris (one of the top five fragrances on the market right now…and my current obsession), Scentmap will suggest Calvin Klein Obsession Night, Fendi Palazzo, YSL Cinema, Guerlain L’Heure Bleue and Stella McCartney Sheer Stella.
And coming soon to Scentmap.com: a forum where you can converse with other fragrance fans, as well as a masculine component so that you can shop for your man.
